About René
When owner, René was a young girl, she began her apprenticeship at Precious Repairs. Little did she know that one day she would be running the business herself. Sixteen years later, René is every bit as passionate about helping Ferntree Gully and surrounding suburbs in the Dandenong Ranges with quality jewellery repairs at affordable prices.
About Christine
My name is Christine and in 1984 when I was just 16 years of age I started my apprenticeship and instantly I feel in love with the art of making jewellery. I was extremely fortunate to have been trained by masters of this craft who handed skills down to me as there masters handed down to them and to this day I continue to work with these skills as I think the art and craftmanship is very important and should be preserved. As my passion for this trade continues to grow my knowledge has grown also, I have furthered my studies in Diamond technology and am a qualified gemologist.
After 30 years of been a jeweller my passion for what I do has not changed since the day I was chosen by those who later on would teach me everything there is to know about this craft and with every piece of jewellery I make I feel very blessed for the day I was chosen. Making jewellery is an art and craft and I am honoured to be part of this amazing trade. I hope that you love and enjoy the pieces from uniquely different as I have in making them.

About Guy
My passion for jewellery and design began at high school, making silver pieces for a folio in art class for my High School Certificate. I then went on to complete an apprenticeship in Jewellery Making and Repairing in 1985 at Collingwood TAFE.
In 1995, I made an original piece, a didgeridoo brooch, set with Australian yellow sapphires and Argyle diamonds, this was for the Australian Jewellers Association Design Awards. I enjoyed the challenge of making and designing a unique piece.
I have worked with master jewellers in workshops in South Yarra. I enjoy working with customers and creating new objects out of their old gold and stones. I have been with Precious Repairs for 16 years now and have great pride in our work and our attention to detail.
I make many of the bigger pieces like bangles and large rings and after 30 years in the trade I, am still getting a lot of joy when handing over a repair or handmade piece to delighted customer.
